Waitora was born from a simple observation.
In most laboratories and healthcare facilities, no one really knows how many patients are on site at any given moment, or how many will arrive within the hour. Patients show up with no information. And the quality of care too often depends on the time of day.
Our mission: give laboratories and healthcare facilities a real-time, predictive view of their patient flow, so teams can anticipate rather than react, and every patient is cared for under the best possible conditions.

The origin of the project
We met at Lumiplan, a European leader in real-time dynamic information, where we spent several years designing solutions that make useful information accessible to everyone, across cities, tourist destinations, and transport networks.
Talking with frontline teams at laboratories and healthcare facilities, environments with no appointments, driven by hard-to-anticipate peaks and still lacking suitable tools, one thing quickly became clear: the need for real-time, predictive patient flow management for healthcare reception sites.
